GERMICIDAL LAMP DETERIORATION

As an example, the accompanying chart shows the typical deterioration rate of a new germicidal (ultraviolet) lamp.

After seven months of use, a lamp may have lost more than 30% of its total ultraviolet emission. No matter what a new lamp measures in terms of output energy, a "deterioration rate" is standard in all germicidal lamps.

This is why it is so important to replace germicidal lamps at least once a year to maintain maximum effectiveness of your fixture.

Remember that genuine Insect-O-Cutor® Germicidal Lamps are date- and type-labelled. Such labelling denotes when the lamps were placed into use and serves as a convenient reminder of when they should be replaced.
